Hi, it’s my first time posting in this sub and I need some help regarding a possible solution to the resolution problem that affect my TV (yeah, I use a TV instead of a proper monitor…), regardless of the operating system I’m using the image displayed always result bigger than the actual screen (although it picks the correct resolution) and a bit blurry, on Windows however a quick fix to the problem is a program called “Custom Resolution Utility” that appears to not exist on Linux. Something I’ve found on the display settings was an option similar to “adjust resolution for TVs” (or something like that) but, while it kinda helps, it just invert the problem: instead of having a bigger image than the screen size, it squeeze it and make it smaller than the screen making the TV “usable” but still awful. I’ve already googled a lot and couldn’t find any solution that worked properly, hoping to find a Linux guru that will help me, I would be really grateful! submitted by /u/Matte93MM [link] [comments]
